Vet Assistant / Vet Technician

Duties

Assessing patients by taking vital signs and gathering medical history and other details from clients.
Assisting in diagnostic procedures.
Discussing treatment options, cost estimates and payments plans with clients.
Collecting blood samples from cephalic, saphenous and jugular veins.
Inserting intravenous catheters and monitoring anesthesia, ventilators, and fluid therapy.
Operating autoclaves and Anprolene sterilizers.
Processing laboratory samples in-house and sending specimens to external laboratories.
Calculating medication dosages and providing dosage instruction to clients.
Recording patient service charges and maintaining accurate patient records in the database.
Explaining patient care instructions and distributing educational materials to clients.
Any cognate duties.
Qualifications & Profile

HSC, preferably with Biology as a subject.
Good working knowledge of MS Office and quick grasp of Vet software tools.
Passionate about animals.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Resilience to being scratched and/or bitten by patients.
Team-oriented attitude.
On the job training will be provided to the selected candidate(s).
