Scheme Fees and Interchange Pricing Analyst (Reconciliation) at Checkout.com:

Checkout.com is actively seeking an ambitious Analyst, to join our growing Finance Team in Mauritius.

Working as part of our Cost of Sales Operations function, you’ll support, optimise and create new processes for the scheme fees reconciliation of Card Schemes and other acquiring channels. Evolving in a high-pace and dynamic environment, meticulous attention to detail will be the key.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and laser-focused individual who is highly numerate and enjoys working with large and intricate datasets. You must be a great teammate when it comes to getting the job done whilst maintaining accuracy and quality of output.

 

About You:

  • 1+ years of hands-on Finance Analyst, Accountant or other relevant roles’ experience in financial services and/or in payments processing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with motivation to find end-to-end solutions
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and sometimes shifting priorities
  • Willingness to take the initiative and continuously learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with SQL server and BI tools is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or partly qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Fluency in English, and superb communication skills at all levels
  • Knowledge of Interchange and Scheme Fees, Card Schemes and Payments Processing will be an advantage

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assessment and mapping of invoices costs across Card Schemes and other acquiring channels
  • Reconcile Checkout.com pricing engine predicted scheme fees with Card Schemes and other acquiring channels billings
  • Investigate and action on identified deltas with internal and external partners
  • Work with the relevant teams to streamline processes
  • Supervise invoices costs and advise on cost optimisation
  • Provide mapped invoices as well as insights to Revenue Operations team for month-end reporting
  • Perform analyses to identify scheme fees optimisation opportunities for merchants and Checkout.com
  • Work closely with the Pricing function to review fees and provide recommendations
  • Help build new reconciliation processes from scratch – including discovery, data requirements setting, report testing, consolidation – all to pre-set team standards
  • Consistently improve existing reconciliation processes to scale, introducing new controls and minimising need for manual effort in routine tasks
  • Help document reconciliation processes
  • Participate actively in project work and product initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
