Overview

This will be a full stack position where the Developer will be required to be ready to work on a variety of problems ranging from front-end development to back-end development. This position requires strong experience with PHP, MySql, and database management. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience working within an Agile environment and the ability to communicate with stakeholders to establish work requirements is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

-Designing and implementing new features and functionality

-Improving the backend of existing features

-Establishing and guiding our website’ s continued development

-Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS

-Helping formulate effective, responsive designs and turning them into working themes, templates and plugins

-Ensuring performant code and working within the guidelines of our process.

-Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers to deliver compelling products

Essential Skills & Experience

-Strong understanding of PHP, JS, and back-end development

-Strong programming and web application development skills

-Back-end experience building and managing RESTful APIs (JSON, XML)

-Experience building web applications

-Experience deploying website A/B testing or personalization

-Experience with web hosting management (AWS, Rackspace, etc)

-Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

-Experience working with responsive design

-Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery)

-Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with the team

-Prior experience with website launches and website migrations is a major plus.
