Overview
A. Purpose of the Role
The Compliance Support Officer will provide day to day support to the Risk and Compliance Department. The compliance Support Officer should ensure that all clerical and administrative works are done on a regular basis. The role holder shall make all required follow up to ensure the smooth running of Risk and Compliance activities.
B. Core Accountabilities
Assist with the onboarding of applicants for business, clients and providers.
Assist in conducting compliance reviews.
Assist in the archiving of files.
Assist in conducting client screenings.
Monitor transactions.
Draft policies, processes and reports.
Assist with compliance queries/requests.
Liaise with internal and external parties for the proper running of the compliance department.
Assist in monitoring the compliance department of VAM Marketing Limited and of any client of Matco Limited upon request.
Participate in the preparation of billing for compliance fees.
Any other cognate duties/projects that may be assigned to you by your manager.
C. Key Clients (Internal & External)
The Compliance Support Officer will provide a service to internal and external customers of the companies who are the employees and brokers and maintain a good relationship with persons and institutions which facilitate the service provided to the employees and brokers.
D. Role Requirements
Business Skills
The role holder should be autonomous, resourceful, develop a strategic approach to work, develop his or her communication skills and adopt an entrepreneurial rather than a traditional approach.
Professional / Technical Experience
The role holder should possess a good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
The role holder should be reasonably knowledgeable on compliance policies and practices and other related legislations.

E. Academic and Professional Qualifications
The role holder is likely to be a degree holder (Management or Finance related).
F. Language Skills
The role holder will have an excellent command of English language with strong written and verbal skills. Fluency in other languages, especially French are desirable.
