Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Manager who will work closely with the Care Home Manager to oversee daily operations, provide leadership to staff, and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in promoting a positive and supportive environment for both residents and staff.

 

Responsibilities:

-Assist the Care Home Manager in day-to-day operations, including staff management, scheduling, and resident care.

-Supervise and support care staff, ensuring they adhere to policies and procedures and deliver compassionate care to residents.

-Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to develop personalized care plans and ensure residents’ needs are met.

-Monitor and maintain compliance with regulatory standards and licensing requirements.

-Handle administrative tasks such as budget management, record-keeping, and reporting.

-Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and professionalism among staff members.

-Participate in staff training, development, and performance evaluations.

-Any other Ad Hoc duties as may be assigned by the manager.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, nursing, social work, business management or a related field.

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caregiving.

Proficiency in English and French languages is highly desirable.

A valid driver’s license.

Should be willing to work odd hours as and when may be required.
