JOB DESCRIPTION *

Service Charge Accounting consists of reviewing the expenses incurred in renting buildings either for office, commercial or residential use. The landlord will need to assess which costs could be charged to the tenants and thus recovered. We should ensure that costs are being incurred in the correct expense cost & raise accruals and prepayments in order to show a true and fair view of the expenditure. Also, a variance analysis is performed at the end to compare the actual expenditure with the budget.

Roles and Responsibilities includes:

Ensure that all expenses are posted in the correct expense code for the financial year under review and for any missing expenditure, accruals are being raised.
Review all ad hoc invoices to assess whether this should be accounted for in the financial year under review.
Run reports to, inter alia, identify potential duplicate payments, review sample invoices by reference to source documents.
Reconciliation of Purchase Order Report.
Audit testing as per the client’s requests.
Variance analysis between the budgeted and actual expenditure.
Reply queries to property managers
Raise further adjustments on the accounting system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

Minimum HSC holder (Accounting at A level will be an advantage)
ACCA/ACA level 1 would be an advantage

Knowledge of MS office (Excel & Outlook) – Basic level
Good interpersonal skills.

Hours of Work

08:30 to 17:00 from Monday to Friday

Candidate should be able to work outside office hours, if required.
